Tony Uphoff is President and CEO of Thomas Publishing Company, LLC. Before joining Thomas in January of 2017, Uphoff served as CEO of, where he led the turnaround, build out and successful sale of the company in June of 2016. Prior to, Tony was CEO of UBM TechWeb, where he led the transformation of a declining print-centric business into a fast-growing digital media, live event and marketing services powerhouse. He also served as President of VNU Media’s Entertainment Group and Publisher of The Hollywood Reporter, building out and expanding the brands via digital media and live events. Uphoff was the founding CEO of Internet Media company Beliefnet and served as Publisher of InformationWeek in the mid-90s, growing the brand into the largest in the history of B2B media. Uphoff also served in several key management positions at Ziff-Davis during the company’s rapid growth in the early 1990s.

Tony has been named “Folio Forty C-Level Visionary” by Folio Magazine, “Top Media Innovator” by Mins B2B and is regularly named in the Top 100 business media execs by B2B Magazine. Tony is acknowledged as an industry expert on media, marketing and technology, and he is a regular speaker at industry conferences and leading business schools. Mark Holst-Knudsen

Mark is responsible for the overall strategic direction and profitability of, a division of the Thomas Publishing Company LLC. He also oversees the development and expansion of other Thomas divisions, including Results Powered Marketing (RPM), an agency marketing service, and Thomas Enterprise Solutions, a group that enables suppliers to syndicate their product data across systems and sales channels. 

Mark officially joined the business in 2001 as Director of Project Management, where he managed the content solutions product line and publishing technology. He was appointed Vice President, Content Solutions in 2006. He holds an MBA in marketing and finance from New York University Stern and earned his undergraduate degree in music from Connecticut College.

Travis Sherbine
Executive Vice President Of Media Solutions,

Travis leads all site development, editorial, sales and marketing for, a division of the Thomas Publishing Company LLC. He brings significant industry insight to his role, with decades of experience in manufacturing dating back to his youth apprenticeship in Tool & Die making at the age of 16.

Prior to joining Thomas, Travis served as a Senior Design Engineer with the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center, and as Director of Business Development for Since joining Thomas in 2003, Travis managed the development of our popular content management system – a catalog data solution that has helped thousands of manufacturers sell millions of products online. He has led the marketing for Thomas’s full suite of digital media products, solutions tailored specifically for OEMs, custom manufacturers and distributors. Travis also created the company’s unique Custom Quotes application, an online solution that takes detailed specs from buyers and engineers, and recommends the ideal local job shops.

Travis is a frequent speaker at industry events, and has offered his insights to industry publications such as The Strategic Sourcerer and Buyers Meeting Point.

Tom began his career as a Corporate Finance Manager with Thomas Publishing and has played an integral role in driving the company’s evolution from a print directory (the Thomas Register) to the leading online platform that it is today. He holds an MBA in finance from Baruch College and a B.S. in accounting.

Tom offers a unique perspective that combines financial and marketing expertise, and he has been featured in publications such as My Purchasing Center, Spend Matters, Business News Daily and The Strategic Sourcerer.


Donna Cicale

Donna Cicale serves as the Director Of Marketing And Audience Development, where she is responsible for educating buyers on how to take advantage of the resources on She integrates a variety of marketing strategies to create awareness of the platform, oversees continued development of the website in response to user feedback, and directs’s customer service activities.

Donna joined Thomas more than 20 years ago and was instrumental in the migration of Thomas Industrial Network from print to the web. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance, with a minor in economics and marketing, from Manhattan College. She is also a member of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).

Donna has an extensive knowledge related to procurement and supply chain, and she has been featured in media outlets such as EE Times and Spend Matters.


Ed Edwards
Audience Outreach Manager, 

Ed Edwards serves as the Manager Of Audience Outreach at He educates procurement and engineering professionals on how to use’s Supplier Discovery and Product Sourcing platforms to streamline and improve their work. Ed provides customized training to organizations’ engineering and sourcing teams and helps buyers with their challenges and finds them new opportunities.

Ed joined in 1997 and has served in a variety of roles within the company, including product development, operations, marketing, sales support and development, and enterprise sales. Prior to, Ed worked in RADAR and navigation system design, development and testing, in addition to ISO 9000 certification.

Ed holds a graduate degree in finance from Polytechnic University and a B.S. in physics and electrical engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
