Marsh Electronics got its start nearly 90 years ago, and the company has been innovating and expanding since the beginning. Founded in 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as Marsh Radio Supply, the company changed its name in the early 1970s to reflect its expanded inventory of electronic components. In the 1980s, Marsh began offering value-add custom assembly services, which led to the debut of the MarVac Assemblies brand in 1995.
Marsh distributes electronic components such as circuit breakers, switches, cables, and connectors for the food, beverage, military, and medical industries, while MarVac provides mid-size original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with custom manufacturing services.
The synergy between the two brands is driving strong growth for Marsh. The company is on track to do $100 million in sales in 2024, growing from $86 million in 2023 and $76 million the year before.
To further fuel its growth and create a high-quality online destination for customers, MarVac worked with Thomas Marketing Services to build a new website with content designed to drive organic search traffic. “We didn't have any eBooks. We didn't have any content,” Marketing Manager Jackie Roschmann said of MarVac’s old website.
To remedy this, she worked with Thomas to develop MarVac’s blog and create a series of eBooks that live on the site. In addition to being a useful resource for prospective customers, Roschmann said the content on the website is something the company’s employees can turn to as well.
Thomas also helps Roschmann promote the content on the site through email marketing and social media.”They have helped me do different eblasts for upcoming trade shows that we have. They've taken on some of our social media. I post about the different cultural events that we have going on, but they take it a step further by showcasing the different capabilities that MarVac has to offer, in terms of our product offering and our solutions offering,” she said. “Our goal is to be a complete solution for our customers. And working with Thomas to showcase that properly in terms of an eBook or a social media post—it's invaluable.”
Seeing the value that Thomas brought to MarVac’s website made it clear to Roschmann that Marsh could also benefit from the full Thomas website treatment. “When we launched the site, and I worked with the Thomas team, I said, ‘I've got to move Marsh over. It's a no-brainer,” she said.
“Being able to arm my salespeople with the content and the tools they need to educate their customers on the opportunities that Marsh and MarVac can present to them has been huge. It would have taken me a year to write an eBook by myself with everything else we have going on.”

Updated Websites, Continuous Support
Roschmann hopes to build on the success of the new MarVac website with Marsh’s new site, which launched in the fourth quarter of 2024. “The website is going to get a total facelift. It's going to be all brand new, fresh content, not repetitive or assets we’ve used over and over again,” she said.
Knowing that Thomas will be handling the overhaul of the Marsh site gives Roschmann peace of mind that she’ll continue to have the same positive experience she had when working with the Thomas team on the MarVac site.
“I'm the only marketing person that Marsh has— I'm a one-lady department—so I need all the help I can get from the Thomas team. They're always coming to me with new ideas, different things we can do, how we can improve our SEO, how we can optimize the website to have a better user experience. It's endless. I could go on and on about it. But I think the biggest thing is how the information that Thomas has presented me with has forced me to go back to my team internally and educate myself better on my business to be better in my role,” Roschmann said.
The project timelines that Thomas provides help keep her on track, and having regular meetings to go over stats and performance means she never has to wonder about how certain content is performing or how many leads are coming in.
“I knew with Thomas I would have a team of people behind me to help me. It wasn't just, ‘Here's your website. See you later.’ I would have the team to support me to see it through not only to the end, but then also to help with the optimizations down the line, and help make sure that it continues to be a successful site.”

Added Value and Increased Sales
Comparing her experience with Thomas to other marketing services she’s worked with in the past, Roschmann said, “I honestly would say Thomas has blown them out of the water.”
MarVac’s new website and the content created by Thomas have helped increase visits to the site and the number of subsequent leads.
“The increase in leads from our website or social media has been monumental. And we have seen the increase in sales, we have seen the increase in traffic,” Roschmann said.
MarVac’s overall organic search traffic was up 35.4% in June 2024 compared to the previous year, and traffic to the site from Google searches has increased by more than 50% over the past year. The number of engaged sessions—meaning website visits that resulted in at least one conversion—increased 118% between June 2023 and June 2024.
Now that the Marsh website is up and running, Roschmann is confident that it will boost the company’s business and overall reputation
“One thing that Marsh and MarVac strive for is we always want to add value to our customers, whether it's in the parts we're delivering, or the component preparation, or the custom assemblies,” she said. “Our goal is to add value, and I truly feel that working with Thomas has added value to our business. And that, in turn, is adding value to our customers’ business.”
