Thomas President and CEO Tony Uphoff gave the keynote at the second Advanced Manufacturing Advisory Council meeting at the Community College of Allegheny County. He spoke about how the Covid-19 pandemic has actually created more manufacturing opportunities, and western Pennsylvania must act now to take advantage of those opportunities. He referenced a survey taken in June that reported that 38% of manufacturers in the U.S. are actively hiring.
